Is Moss and Algae Taking Over Your Roof?
Most homeowners don’t look up often enough to notice what’s happening on their roof until the damage is already done.
Moss holds moisture against tiles, accelerating deterioration and leading to cracked or slipped tiles over time. Algae and lichen leave dark streaking that gradually eats into the surface. And on cladding, years of green growth and grime can make a home look decades older than it is.
A professional clean doesn’t just improve the look of your home, it protects the structure underneath.
What Does Our Roof Cleaning Service Include?
We clean roof tiles, pitched roofs, flat roof surrounds and exterior cladding across properties in Suffolk. Depending on the surface, we use soft washing techniques or specialist brushing with extendable carbon fibre poles – always from the ground where possible, with no chemicals that could harm your garden, pets or nearby plants.
For moss and heavy organic growth, we loosen and remove the build-up thoroughly, leaving the surface clean and protected. For cladding, we remove algae, green streaking and weathering using water only to restore the original appearance without damage to the panels.
Most of the work is completed with our operatives’ feet firmly on the ground, with ladder use kept to an absolute minimum.
Why Roof Cleaning Matters
Protects Your Tiles
Moss and lichen hold water against your roof surface. Over time, this causes tiles to crack, deteriorate and slip leading to expensive repairs or early replacement.
Chemical-Free and Safe
We use water and specialist brushing – no chemicals, no risk to your garden, plants, ponds or pets.
Done from the Ground
Our equipment reaches up to 40ft, covering the vast majority of residential properties with minimal ladder use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of roofs do you clean?
We clean most standard pitched roofs with clay, concrete or slate tiles, as well as exterior cladding. If you’re unsure whether your roof type is suitable, just give us a call and we’ll let you know.
Will roof cleaning damage my tiles?
Our methods are designed to be thorough but gentle. We use soft brushing and water rather than high-pressure washing, which can crack or dislodge tiles if used incorrectly.
How long does a roof clean take?
Most standard domestic properties take half a day to a full day depending on the size of the roof and the level of growth. We’ll give you a realistic time estimate following a quick survey.
Do you work from ladders?
Mostly no, ladder use is kept to an absolute minimum. The vast majority of our work is done from the ground using extendable carbon fibre poles reaching up to 40ft.
Can you clean cladding at the same time?
Yes, if your property has exterior cladding, we can include that in the same visit. Just let us know when you book.
